From a young age, Darwin dreamed of descending by bicycle from the summit of Cotopaxi Volcano, a challenge that many believed was impossible. Through dedication, discipline, and perseverance, he turned that dream into reality on January 10, 2019, making history as the first person ever to descend by mountain bike from the summit of Cotopaxi (5,897 meters / 19,347 feet above sea level) to Limpiopungo Lagoon (3,800 meters / 12,467 feet above sea level), establishing an unprecedented world record.

In August 2020, Darwin made history once again by descending from the summit of Cayambe Volcano (5,790 meters / 18,996 feet above sea level) to its base, further demonstrating his passion for exploration and high-altitude cycling.
