DARWIN GUADAÑA MIRANDA
Biography..
Ecuadorian adventure athlete, mountain biker, and high-altitude cyclist from Latacunga, Ecuador. A multiple-time national medalist, three-time National Vice Champion, and five-time representative of Ecuador at the Pan American Games, Darwin has dedicated his life to pushing the limits of human endurance and inspiring.
Welcome to Darwin's Life
From a young age, Darwin dreamed of descending by bicycle from the summit of Cotopaxi Volcano, a challenge that many believed was impossible. Through dedication, discipline, and perseverance, he turned that dream into reality on January 10, 2019, making history as the first person ever to descend by mountain bike from the summit of Cotopaxi (5,897 meters / 19,347 feet above sea level) to Limpiopungo Lagoon (3,800 meters / 12,467 feet above sea level), establishing an unprecedented world record.
Darwin's Motivations
is to inspire children, young people, and adults to believe in their dreams and work relentlessly to achieve them. He is currently preparing for his next groundbreaking project, “Following the Light of the Sun.”
Darwin's Mission
extends beyond competition and records. His greatest purpose is to inspire children, young people, and adults to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams, and overcome challenges with courage and determination. Through motivational speaking, adventure projects, and educational initiatives, he shares the lessons he has learned from years of pushing beyond perceived limits.
Darwin's Real Results
In August 2020, Darwin made history once again by descending from the summit of Cayambe Volcano (5,790 meters / 18,996 feet above sea level) to its base, further demonstrating his passion for exploration and high-altitude cycling.
